File requirements:

1. If your file is designed by Illustrator, InDesign, CoreDRAW and other software, it is stored in PDF format.
2. The image in the file needs to be 300dip.
3. The file needs to be bleed.
4. The file needs to be in CMYK mode.

In the process of wholesale custom notebooks, you need to consider the following aspects:

In wholesale custom notebooks, color management is very important. We can produce a variety of colors by mixing colors in different proportions, resulting in colorful printed images.

CMYK Color printing

CMYK is the most commonly used printing color mode, which consists of four colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. We divide the files we designed into four CTP plates for printing, each with a different CMYK proportion. This printing method is the most cost-effective.

PANTONE spot color printing

Spot color generally refers to the use of ink to adjust a specific color effect. The PANTONE standard system provides a rich selection of colors, so that spot color printing can meet a variety of complex color requirements. Commonly used are offset paper PANTONE (U) and coated paper PANTONE (C).

CMYK+PANTONE printing

CMYK+PANTONE color printing. Generally, only packaging or covers use this costly printing method to enhance the high-end feel of printed materials.

Size selection:

We usually adopt the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard. In addition to the common A4, B5, A5, B6, and A7 specifications, you can also define the size arbitrarily, but you must consider the size of the printing paper. The waste of paper can determine the price of the product.

Cover material

1. Paper material: This is the most commonly used cover material, which can be ordinary paper, cardboard, kraft paper, and various special papers. Printing paper materials is simple.
2. Leather and imitation leather material: This is the most commonly used hardcover material, suitable for hot stamping, embossing, and other processes, and ideal for creating high-end and personalized notebook covers.
3. Cloth material:This material is generally cotton, linen, silk, woolen cloth, etc. Cloth covers are usually thin and soft, suitable for those who pursue natural comfort.
4. Hard shell material:Covers made of acrylic and plastic are commonly used. This material is ideal for outdoor, car, travel, and other special scenes.

Inside page material

1. Offset paper: Typically, offset paper—which has good and uniform ink absorption, water resistance, a smooth surface, good stiffness, and clear printing—prints almost all of the inner pages of notebooks.
2. Coated paper: The paper surface is smooth and flat, with high whiteness, high smoothness, and excellent gloss, which makes the printed graphics and pictures have a three-dimensional sense.
3. Ivory paper: Generally used for high-end books and notebook inner page printing, the paper is smooth, but it differs from the smoothness of coated paper because of different production processes.
4. Special color paper: This type of paper is only used for special printing because it undergoes color dyeing during the manufacturing process.

The following are some common post-printing processes:

1. Lamination: Lamination can enhance the moisture resistance, sun protection, wear resistance, anti-fouling, water resistance, and heat resistance of printed materials.
2. Glazing (UV): Glazing is the process of applying a layer of colorless and transparent coating to the surface of the printed material, then drying and solidifying it under ultraviolet radiation to form a thin, uniform, transparent, and bright layer.
3. Hot stamping (hot stamping/hot silver stamping): After hot stamping, the printed material’s surface has a metallic texture and effect, which is magnificent and creates a strong contrast in the printed picture.
4. Die cutting: The die-cutting process can create unique shapes and increase expressiveness.
5. Embossing (embossing/debossing/embossing): Embossing is a process that relies on pressure to make local changes in the printed object to form a pattern, which can increase the three-dimensional sense, strong decorativeness, and unique style.
6. Flocking: Brush a layer of glue on the surface of the printed material, and then stick a velvet material on it to give the surface the velvet cloth effect.
7. Glitter: Brush a layer of glue on the surface of the printed material, and then sprinkle gold powder, sequins, and other decorations on top of the glue.
