Suitable paper for notebooks

There are many common types of notebook paper, each with its own unique characteristics and uses. Here are some common types of notebook paper:

Writing paper: This is the most common and basic type of notebook paper, suitable for daily writing, notes, study, etc. It has a certain ink absorption to ensure the smoothness and clarity of writing.
Woodfree paper: Woodfree paper is a more advanced writing paper, usually used to make high-quality notebooks. It has high whiteness and glossiness, as well as good ink absorption and writing feel.
Art paper: Also known as coated paper, it is coated with a layer of inorganic coating and super calendered. It has a smooth surface and bright colors, and is often used to print covers or notebook pages that require special printing effects.
Sketch paper: Designed for sketching and painting, it has a certain texture or roughness on the surface so that drawing tools such as pencils or charcoal pencils can produce rich layers and effects. Sketch paper is also commonly used in art notebooks.
Loose-leaf paper: This type of paper is often used in loose-leaf notebooks and can be freely combined and replaced by binders. There are also many types of loose-leaf paper, including ordinary writing paper, dolly paper, punched paper, etc.
Acid-free paper: Acid-free paper is a specially treated paper that can be stored for a long time without yellowing or damage. It is often used in notebooks that need to preserve materials for a long time, such as archives, ancient books, etc.
Wood-free paper: Tree-free paper does not contain wood. It is not physically sucked like traditional paper, but is made of chemical pulp. This kind of paper will not turn yellow over time.
Recycled paper: Recycled paper is paper made from recycled waste paper, which is environmentally friendly. Although its texture and performance may be slightly inferior to virgin paper, more and more notebooks are beginning to use recycled paper to reduce the environmental burden.

It should be noted that different notebook brands and manufacturers may use different types of paper to meet the needs and preferences of different users. Therefore, when choosing a notebook, in addition to considering the type of paper, you also need to pay attention to factors such as the texture, thickness, and ink absorption of the paper.

All paper used by Prolead is FSC certified.

Suitable Ink for notebooks

SOYBEAN OIL INK is a truly applicable environmentally friendly ink. Moreover, it has rich output, safe and reliable performance, good printing effect and meets various standards of printing ink, and is extremely environmentally friendly. Soybean ink has bright color, high concentration, good gloss, good water adaptability and stability, friction resistance, drying resistance and other properties. It is not dirty, has no irritating odor, is light and heat resistant, and is easier to recycle.

Soybean ink is widely used in the printing of children’s books, notebooks, notepads, desk calendars and other books and periodicals.

Environmentally friendly soybean ink is a sustainable printing ink. The raw materials used in its manufacturing process mainly come from soybean plants. The following are the advantages of environmentally friendly soybean ink for environmental protection:

Reduce fossil fuel consumption: Compared with the use of petroleum-based inks, environmentally friendly soy inks use soybean oil as the main ingredient, reducing the demand for limited petroleum resources, thereby reducing the consumption of fossil fuels.
Reduced Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) Emissions: Environmentally friendly soy inks produce lower emissions of volatile organic compounds during the manufacturing and printing process, which can significantly reduce air pollution.
Use of renewable materials: Soybeans are a renewable plant resource, and growing soybeans contributes to carbon balance and soil protection, thereby promoting sustainable agriculture and protecting biodiversity.
Biodegradability: Environmentally friendly soy inks generally have good biodegradability and can quickly decompose in the natural environment, reducing pollution to soil and water sources, and reducing pressure on landfills.

As a pioneer in the printing industry and a socially responsible factory, Prolead has long adhered to the concept of green printing and has been printing with soy ink since its establishment.

Prolead’s commitment to consumers and society:

Suitable leather for notebooks

Leather has become an indispensable material and is widely used in various productions. Leather can be divided into genuine leather and imitation leather.

Genuine Leather: Natural leather from animals that has been chemically treated. Genuine leather is divided into first layer leather, second layer leather and composite cowhide. The top layer of skin has the most dense fibrous tissue, the best durability and breathability, and therefore the highest value. The top layer of leather retains its natural grain and scars, and its value depends on the perfection of the leather’s surface.
Imitation leather: It is artificial leather, with PU and PVC as the main materials, imitating the texture and appearance of natural leather. Although modern technology can produce imitation leather that is similar to real leather, its feel and elasticity are still not as good as real leather.

In the notebook production process, leather is often used as a cover, which has a unique texture and beauty and can enhance the overall grade of the notebook. As the leather capital of China, Guangzhou has a large number of high-quality leather wholesale markets. What kind of leather do you need for your notebook and what craftsmanship does the leather need? You can communicate with our team.
